At Moddule ApS, we find proper and careful handling of personal data important. That is why we are committed to treating your data as such and to keeping you well informed about the way we process your data. Our handling process is compliant to the demands of privacy legislation. Amongst other things, this means that:
- We always clearly mention the purposes of our handling of personal data;
- We limit the collection of personal data to only the information relevant to our legitimate objectives;
- We explicitly ask permission to process your personal data when such consent is required;
- We take appropriate security measures in order to protect your data, and demand that parties who process your personal data at our behest, take the same measures;
- We respect your rights to request access, to correct and to remove your personal data.
In this privacy statement we will tell you which data we process, how, why, how long we do this for and to inform you about your rights. We advise that you carefully read through this privacy statement.
When you visit our website, correspond with us, are a customer or partner (or in the process of becoming one), and where we process your order through our software, we process personal data about you as a data controller.

Who is Module ApS?
Moddule ApS operates and offers real time proprietary data analytics and AI based services, tools and solutions for companies transporting physical goods and/or companies selling products on e-commerce channels. Please note that Moddule ApS is applicable to Danish law.
When, why and how do we process your data?
When you visit our website, we process personal data in the form of your IP address, Google Analytics ID, browser details, device details, location data and your behavior on the website, such as which pages you visit and for how long.
We process this personal data for our legitimate interests of making sure our website works properly and continues to do so in the future, cf. section 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. This means that we use this information for debugging purposes, prevent cybercrime, and for optimizing our website with better usability, design, performance and content. This way future visitors enjoy an even more pleasant visit next time on the website. We collect this data through the forms of cookies, beacons and/or javascript. When we collect information about your website usage, such as which pages you visit, and which products or services you are interested in, we do so to determine how we can offer our products and services to you in the best possible way. For example, when you visit our page about the platform, we might classify you as a website visitor interested in this product and therefore as a potential customer.
With your prior given consent and subject to the limitations under the laws under your home jurisdiction, we might use this classification to contact you outside our website. For example, by showing advertisements on other websites or by contacting you directly through email, phone or on social media. How long do we keep this data?
We will only keep your data as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes listed above. The length of storage depends on the type of data. For example, data about your website visit ends after the browsing session ends, analytical data for 14 months and other data for a maximum of 12 months.
When you use our warehouse finder
When you use the warehouse finder, we process the same data as on the website. When you become a customer or a partner, we will store additional information. Please see “When you visit and use our website” and “When you are a Moddule ApS customer or partner” for more information.
How we process data for our newsletter and marketing purposes
On our website you can sign-up for our newsletter, by providing your name, e-mail address and explicit consent, cf. section 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation. You can unsubscribe from these emails by following the instructions provided in the newsletter.
If you are one of our customers, we may contact you about relevant products and services we offer for our legitimate interest of developing our business. In case you are not yet a customer, we only contact you with an offer about our products or services. When we reach out in this context, you have the opportunity to opt-out at any moment by following the instructions in the e-mail or contacting us through the provided contact details mentioned in the message you received.
We also offer downloadable content from our website, like white papers and research reports. When download such content, we will ask you for your name, company, email address. We process this data for our legitimate interest of keeping track of who downloads our content and to reach out to explore
If you have given your consent, you may also be occasionally contacted at the e-mail address you provided to voluntarily participate in a survey. Please be aware that we send service emails, for which you cannot unsubscribe. These e-mails are sent as a way to communicate with you as part of the services we offer. These include alerts, notifications and confirmations.
When you contact us or request us to contact you regarding complaints and comments
When visiting our website, you can contact us or ask us to contact you, regarding becoming a customer, partner, request (tech) support, or for questions, complaints and comments. When you do so, we will collect the information you fill out, including your name, company details, contact details, and other personal information you provide us, cf. section 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
When you contact us, we will need your name, company details, contact details and other information to further assist and/or communicate with you. We use this data to assess your application as customer or partner, offer you (tech) support, answer your questions, comment or complaint. As such, this data is used by our legitimate interest in management of our internal administration of our contract with you. Also, we use the data for (internal) training purposes, and for our legitimate interest of conducting marketing research in order to offer our customers tailored products and services.
How long do we keep this data?
We will only keep your data as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes listed above, which will be at no more than three years calculated form our last contact with you.
When you are a Moddule ApS customer, partner or about to become one
In case you are a Moddule customer, reseller, end-user (when you have an account through our white-label platform), or when you are in the process of becoming one of them, we collect personal data including contact details, ID documentation, tax details, financial details and login details. This information is used by us to establish or perform our contract with you, including company checks, onboarding, use of the platform, integration with the platform and offer support, cf. section 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation. Also, we use this information for our legitimate interest of managing our internal administration and complying with legal obligations, like taxation, cf. section 6(1)(c) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
In case you contact us through our Service Area, with questions, comments, queries, and complaints, we collect the data you provide us. This includes your account identifier (like email address), account details and the information you provide us. We process this data to perform our contract with you, offer you support and for our legitimate interest of improving our products and services.
Moddule may also use automated decision-making, including profiling, when we are in the process of getting an agreement with you, or to secure the performance of our products and services. We only do so when allowed by applicable laws or when we have your consent. If an automated decision significantly affects you, you have the right to obtain human intervention, share your point of view or to contest the automated decision, including profiling. We use this automated decision-making on the basis of our legitimate interest for the following purposes:
- To provide you with services as a result on agreements between you and Moddule ApS.
- To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- To improve our products and services.
- For reporting and training purposes.
- For the purpose of statistical-, strategic- and scientific research.
- To protect our platform, infrastructure and services from misuse, fraud, cybercrime, or other unauthorized or illegal activity.
How long do we keep this data?
We will only keep the data you have provided us until 10 years after the end of your contract with us or until our rejection of your application for us to handle legal disputes.
When Moddule ApS processed your order
Moddule ApS orchestrates and performs the data exchange between its direct customers (typically web shops, brick-and-mortar stores, brands, retailers, wholesalers, other companies) and warehouse operators, cf. section 6(1)(b) and (f) of the General Data Protection Regulation. The main purpose is to facilitate that the end customer (“you”) gets ordered goods delivered from the nearest warehouse with available stock. When we process your order as end customer, we process your data as data processor on behalf of our direct customer (the company you ordered goods from). Because we process data on behalf of our customers, we find it important to treat your data with care and therefore we would like you to be well informed how we do so.
We process your personal data to handle your orders pursuant to our contract with you which entails our processing of your name, billing address, shipping address, the goods you ordered and in what quantities. Also, we process the order details like the order data and, when provided by you, also references, notes and other input you provided. In case you are a company, we might also process your company name, PO-number.
In case necessary, we can also process the data listed above for our legitimate interest of protecting our legal rights, for example with a legal claim. Also, we can use it when we have the legal obligation to process your information, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, for the purpose of statistical-, strategic- and scientific research and lastly to protect our platform, infrastructure and services from misuse, fraud, cybercrime, or other unauthorized or illegal activity.
How long do we keep this data?
We will only keep the data you have provided us until 10 years after the end of your contract with us or until our rejection of your application for us to handle legal disputes.

Other purposes

How long do we keep your information?
Generally speaking, we will only keep your data as long as we need it for the purposes listed above. For each data type, you can see the specific storage length and exceptions.
The retention terms mentioned above can be longer if we are required to do so because of applicable law or to administer our business. In case we need to keep information longer for our legitimate interest of protecting our legal rights, we will keep the required information for this purpose until the relevant claim(s) has/have been settled.
With whom do we share personal information?
To offer our products and services, including our platform, websites and other applications, we use third party suppliers. We only share your personal data with these suppliers in case this is necessary and is restricted to only the minimum information required and technically reasonable. These suppliers include CRM providers, IT providers, marketing support providers and legal advisors, financial advisors, social media providers. We have a data processing agreement with all these providers to protect your data.
When we are in the process of selling our company, your personal data will be disclosed to the prospective purchasers’ advisors with an agreement in place to take care of personal data, such as an NDA. In case Moddule ApS is sold or integrated with another business, your personal data will be passed to the new owners of the business.
Other than that, we will not share your personal data unless we have your consent or with legal claims or when we have a legal obligation to do so.
How do we protect your data?
Securing your personal data is a top priority for us. We have, and continue to take, security measures to protect personal data. To prevent unauthorized people or parties from accessing personal data, we have put in place a range of technical and organizational safety measures.
Where do we transfer this information?
When it is necessary for the purposes mentioned above, we may share personal data with other companies than our group companies outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). These countries include the countries in which we have operations. It also includes the countries in which some of our service providers are located, such as the United States.
In case your data is being processed outside the EEA, we safeguard information with either intragroup agreement containing Standard Contractual Clauses (in case of transfer to a group company) or with a Standard Contractual Clause (in case of external party). When you have questions about the processing of your personal data, you can contact us through the contact us page.
Your rights
You have several rights related to your personal data and we respect those to the fullest extent. As a result, you may ask us to:
- stop processing your personal data, including profiling.
- restrict specific parts of processing.
- provide you an overview of your personal data.
- correct or to delete certain data.
- transfer some of your personal data to other organizations.
Also, in some cases you can withdraw your given consent. Please be aware that we keep a record of your withdrawal to prevent processing your data in the future.
There are some exceptions to the rights listed above. We might refuse your request when we are required by law, have a contract with you, fulfilling the request would lead to a data breach of other persons data, or when we are legally not able to do so.
